Aluminized zinc steel coilis an alloy material made of 55% aluminum, 43% zinc, and 2% silicon solidified at a high temperature of 600°C. It combines the physical protection and high durability of aluminum with the electrochemical protection of zinc. GL steel coil has excellent corrosion resistance, which is three times that of pure galvanized coil, and features a beautiful zinc flower surface, making it suitable for use as an exterior panel in buildings. Its corrosion resistance mainly comes from aluminum, which provides protective functionality. When zinc is worn away, aluminum forms a dense layer of aluminum oxide that prevents further corrosion of internal materials. The thermal reflectivity of aluminized zinc steel coil is very high, double that of galvanized steel plates, and it is often used as insulation material.
